The Honor MagicBook Pro 16 2026 will have a 165Hz refresh rate.

Following a dazzling debut at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this month, Honor is officially gearing up to launch its 2026 lineup of MagicBook Pro laptops in China. While the official unveiling date remains under wraps, the company has taken to social media to double down on the key display specifications for both the MagicBook Pro 14 and the MagicBook Pro 16, giving potential buyers a final taste of what to expect before the official launch.

In a detailed post on its official Weibo account, which you can view here, the company reiterated that the visual experience is the star of the show for these new productivity-focused machines.

Display Differences: OLED Brilliance vs. LCD Speed

For those who prioritize deep blacks and vibrant colors, the Honor MagicBook Pro 14 2026 is shaping up to be the ideal choice. According to the fresh specifications, the smaller of the two siblings will feature a 14.6-inch OLED display. Unlike traditional 16:9 screens, this panel adopts a 3:2 aspect ratio with a sharp 3120 × 2080 resolution, offering more vertical space for scrolling through documents or coding.

The 14-inch model boasts a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling, paired with a peak brightness of 700 nits, ensuring visibility even in brightly lit environments. Honor also highlighted the inclusion of an anti-reflective coating and a dedicated "E-book mode," a feature first teased at MWC 2026 that optimizes the glossy OLED panel to mimic the paper-like experience of an e-reader, reducing eye strain during long reading sessions.

On the other hand, the Honor MagicBook Pro 16 2026 caters to a slightly different audience—likely gamers and video editors who crave speed. It will pack a 16-inch LCD panel with a 3072 × 1920 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. While it doesn’t hit the same brightness peaks as its smaller sibling (topping out at 500 nits), it compensates with a silky-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. Honor also notes a stellar 93% screen-to-body ratio on the 16-inch model, maximizing the viewing area in a relatively compact chassis.

Both laptops will feature Honor’s proprietary Oasis eye protection technology, aiming to reduce harmful blue light without distorting colors.

Under the Hood: Intel Core Ultra Series 3 Performance

While the display specs were the highlight of the Weibo post, the performance hardware remains a massive selling point. As revealed earlier this year, the MagicBook Pro 2026 series will be powered by Intel’s new Core Ultra Series 3 processors (codenamed Panther Lake).

For a deeper dive into how these chips performed during the initial unveiling, you can check out our earlier hands-on coverage here.

The lineup will feature configurations up to the flagship Core Ultra X9 388H processor. To complement this raw power, the laptops will support up to 32GB of RAM with data speeds reaching 9600MT/s, ensuring snappy performance for multitasking and AI-driven workloads. Additionally, Honor has implemented a new low-noise cooling design to keep these high-performance chips running efficiently without disturbing the user.

Availability and Pre-Order Perks

Although the exact launch date for the Chinese market remains unannounced, the anticipation has reached a fever pitch. Both the Honor MagicBook Pro 14 and MagicBook Pro 16 are now available for pre-order on the manufacturer’s official online store as well as various partner retail platforms.

To sweeten the deal for early adopters, Honor has confirmed that customers who place pre-orders will receive a free Honor backpack alongside their new laptop. With the combination of cutting-edge Intel silicon, high-refresh-rate displays, and a premium build, the 2026 MagicBook Pro series is poised to be a strong contender in the premium laptop segment. Stay tuned for the official pricing and launch date expected later this month.
