| The Galaxy Book 6 Edge may be closer to launch than expected. |
Earlier this year at CES 2026, Samsung unveiled its latest sixth-generation Galaxy Book laptops, including the Galaxy Book 6, Galaxy Book 6 Pro, and the powerhouse Galaxy Book 6 Ultra. But eagle-eyed fans noticed one conspicuous absence: a new Galaxy Book Edge. That silence seems to be ending, as an early retailer listing has now spilled the beans on what we expect to be called the Galaxy Book 6 Edge – complete with key specifications, design changes, and European pricing.
According to a report by Winfuture, the unannounced notebook appeared on the website of German retailer Cyberport. The listing confirms that Samsung hasn’t abandoned the Edge line – but the new model comes with some surprising tweaks that may divide fans of the series.
A Display That Breaks Tradition
The Galaxy Book 6 Edge will feature a 16-inch AMOLED display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a crisp 2880 × 1800 resolution, and a buttery 120Hz refresh rate. That’s a noticeable jump from the 15.6-inch screen on its predecessor. But before you get too excited, there are two major changes: touch support is gone, and the screen now has a matte finish. Peak brightness hits 500 nits, which should make outdoor use more comfortable.
If you were hoping for a smaller 14-inch variant (like the one offered for the Galaxy Book 4 Edge), you’re likely out of luck. Winfuture’s source indicates the 14‑inch model will be discontinued, leaving the 16‑inch size as the sole option for Edge fans.
You can check the full listing (and weep at the price) directly on Cyberport’s product page.
Snapdragon X2 Elite: Waiting in the Wings
While the rest of the Galaxy Book 6 family runs on Intel’s new Panther Lake processors, the Galaxy Book 6 Edge marches to a different beat. Under the hood sits Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite (model X2E-88-100) – an Arm-based chip designed to deliver impressive battery life and AI performance. It will be paired with either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and storage options include 512GB or 1TB SSDs.
The shift to Qualcomm isn’t surprising – Samsung has been flirting with Arm chips for its Edge line for a while. But the absence of an Intel option here means buyers will have to trust that Windows-on-Arm has finally matured. Early indications from other Snapdragon X2 laptops suggest it’s a capable contender, but we’ll reserve final judgment until we can test the Edge ourselves.
Ports, Battery, and That Weight
For connectivity, Samsung isn’t skimping. The Galaxy Book 6 Edge includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two USB 4.0 Type-C ports, a single USB-A port (thankfully), a full-sized HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader, and a combo headphone/mic jack. There’s also a fingerprint scanner embedded somewhere – likely the power button.
Battery capacity is quoted at 61.8Wh, with Samsung claiming up to 22 hours of runtime. That’s an ambitious figure, but the efficient Arm chip and energy‑sipping AMOLED panel might just pull it off. The laptop weighs 1.55kg (about 3.4 lbs) and measures just 12.3mm thick – impressively slim for a 16‑incher.
Pricing and the RAM Crisis Hangover
Here’s where things get painful. The base Galaxy Book 6 Edge (16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) will retail for €2,199 in Europe. The higher‑spec variant with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage isn’t priced on the listing yet, but Winfuture estimates it will cost upwards of €2,800 – largely thanks to the ongoing RAM pricing crisis that has hammered component costs across the industry.
Only one colour is listed: “Light Blue”. No matte black, no silver, just a soft blue hue. It’s a bold choice, but not necessarily a bad one.

When Will Samsung Make It Official?
Samsung hasn’t announced a launch date for the Galaxy Book 6 Edge, but the fact that it’s already popping up on retailer websites suggests an official unveiling is right around the corner. Typically, Samsung holds a spring Unpacked event around March or April. Given that we’re now in late April 2026, a surprise drop or a quiet store listing could happen any day now.
Until then, the Edge remains a tantalising “what if” – a large, light, matte‑screened Arm laptop that could either be a battery life champion or a compatibility headache. We’ll be watching closely.
