| Dell now sells four laptops featuring Intel Wildcat Lake processors. |
Dell is quietly expanding its laptop lineup with four new models built around Intel’s Wildcat Lake architecture. The freshly listed Pro 3 Series and Pro 5 Series laptops offer a more budget-friendly entry point into the company’s latest commercial portfolio – but there’s a catch for North American shoppers.
It’s been a busy spring for Dell. Back in March, the company unveiled its Pro 3 Series and Pro 5 Series families, signaling a major refresh of its professional laptop stack. Then, earlier this month, Dell started selling the Pro 5 Series 14 (model P514260) and Pro 5 Series 16 (P516260) – both powered by Intel’s newer Panther Lake processors. Those models effectively replaced older Pro-series devices, which you can still find on Amazon starting at around $1,149.
Now, Dell is adding another layer to the lineup. The Texas-based PC giant has launched four new configurations of the Pro 5 Series 14 and Pro 5 Series 16, this time using Intel’s Wildcat Lake Core Series 3 chips. Think of these as the more accessible siblings to the high-performance Panther Lake versions.
Wildcat Lake vs. Panther Lake: What’s Different?
The new Wildcat Lake variants are notably cheaper, but they come with a few trade-offs. The most significant difference? Memory. Dell’s Panther Lake Pro 5 Series laptops ship with LPCAMM2 RAM – the new low-power, modular memory standard that promises better performance and repairability. Wildcat Lake versions skip that entirely, sticking with more conventional memory configurations.
On the display front, however, there’s no compromise. The Wildcat Lake-powered Pro 5 Series can still be configured with either a 60 Hz OLED panel or a 120 Hz IPS screen, giving buyers plenty of choice between vibrant colors and silky-smooth refresh rates.
European Pricing – North America Left Waiting
If you’re shopping in Europe, you’re in luck. Dell is already listing these Wildcat Lake models across the Eurozone and the UK. Pricing for the Pro 5 Series Wildcat Lake configurations starts at under €1,700 in mainland Europe and under £1,500 in the UK.
North American buyers, unfortunately, will have to wait. As of today, Dell has not started selling Core 5 320, Core 5 330, Core 7 350, or Core 7 360 versions of the Pro 5 Series 14 or Pro 5 Series 16 in the US or Canada. For now, the Wildcat Lake party is a European affair.
Dell Pro 3 Series: Even More Affordable
If the Pro 5 Series Wildcat Lake models still stretch your budget, Dell’s Pro 3 Series laptops are an even cheaper entry point. These also run on Intel Core Series 3 (Wildcat Lake) architecture and are available now in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes.
Current pricing (at the time of writing) shakes out like this:
- Dell Pro 3 Series 14 (14-inch): €1,276 (EU), £1,137 (UK), $1,579 (US)
- Dell Pro 3 Series 16 (16-inch): €1,310 (EU), £1,166 (UK), $1,569 (US)
Yes, you read that right – the US pricing is actually higher than European prices for the same Pro 3 Series models. That’s unusual, but it may reflect regional launch promotions or inventory differences.
Specs That Surprise: Up to 48GB RAM, Wi-Fi 7, and Big Batteries
Here’s where the Wildcat Lake family pulls off a neat trick. Despite being the “budget” options, both the Pro 3 Series and the Wildcat Lake versions of the Pro 5 Series can be configured with up to 48 GB of RAM and up to 2 TB of storage. That’s enterprise-grade memory and SSD capacity, regardless of which processor family you choose.
Connectivity is also future-proof. All models come with Wi-Fi 7 support, so you’ll be ready for the next generation of wireless networks. And battery life won’t be a concern – Dell offers three different battery sizes: 45 Wh, 57 Wh, or 70 Wh, depending on how much runtime you need (and how much weight you’re willing to carry).
Should You Buy a Wildcat Lake Dell Pro Laptop?
That depends on your priorities. If you’re in Europe and want a solid business laptop without paying a premium for Panther Lake or LPCAMM2 RAM, the new Wildcat Lake Pro 5 Series models are an excellent value. The Pro 3 Series goes even lower on price while keeping most of the same core features.
For North American shoppers, patience is key. Dell will likely bring these models stateside in the coming weeks – but if you need a new Pro-series laptop right now, the existing Amazon listings for older Pro models might be worth a look while you wait.

The Bottom Line
Dell’s Wildcat Lake rollout is a smart move. By offering Intel Core Series 3 chips alongside the higher-end Panther Lake options, the company now has a laptop for almost every budget – from sub-$1,500 Pro 3 models all the way up to fully-loaded Pro 5 Series workhorses. The only question is when North America will get the same love.
Until then, European buyers have first dibs on what looks like one of the most balanced business laptop lineups of 2026. Keep an eye on Dell’s regional stores, and expect US availability to follow soon.
