| The Dell Pro 14 Premium starts at just 1.15 kg. |
In a move that signals a significant shift in enterprise computing power, Dell has officially unveiled a slate of new devices today, and all eyes are on the newest iteration of its premium business laptop. The company has introduced the Dell Pro 14 Premium (PA14260) , a device that doesn't just tweak last year’s specs but fundamentally redefines the performance expectations for a 14-inch workstation on the go.
For those keeping track, this new model serves as the direct successor to the popular PA14250 variants. That previous generation, which landed during CES 2025, impressed users with the efficiency of Intel Lunar Lake processors. If you missed out on that release, you can still find last year’s model (currently $2,059 on Amazon) as a high-performance alternative.
However, the new PA14260 is a different beast entirely. The headline feature here is the platform switch: Dell is leaving Lunar Lake behind in favor of Intel’s cutting-edge Panther Lake platform. This isn’t just a spec bump; it’s a generational leap aimed at professionals who demand high core counts and future-proofed architecture.
Panther Lake Power Meets Next-Gen Graphics
Under the hood, the Dell Pro 14 Premium offers a versatile range of processor options to suit varying workloads. Buyers will be able to configure the machine with choices ranging from the Core Ultra 5 335 vPro up to the powerful Core Ultra 7 366H vPro. While these four processor options vary in core counts, cache levels, and thermal design power (TDP), they share a common thread that graphics-conscious users will love: all configurations feature a 4-core Xe3 iGPU.
This integrated graphics upgrade means users can expect smoother visual performance for creative workflows, data visualization, and multitasking across high-resolution displays—all without the need for a discrete graphics card, preserving battery life and keeping the chassis slim.
To ensure these processors have no bottlenecks, Dell is allowing configurations with up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 dual-channel RAM and up to 2 TB of storage. Whether you are a developer running virtual machines or a creative editor dealing with large assets, this machine looks ready to handle the pressure.
A Suite of Connectivity Options
In today’s hybrid work environment, connectivity is king, and Dell hasn't skimped here. The Pro 14 Premium features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 7 (BE211) , ensuring users are ready for the fastest wireless networks available.
But the connectivity story gets a bit regional. Dell has confirmed that the device will support 5G mobile broadband thanks to the Snapdragon X72 modem. However, in a quirk that enterprise buyers should note, only units destined for the Chinese market will ship with physical SIM card slots. For the rest of the world—including the US and Europe—the laptop will rely entirely on eSIM functionality.
Display Options: From Anti-Glare Workhorses to Vibrant OLED
Dell is offering a wide spectrum of display choices for the Pro 14 Premium, catering to everyone from spreadsheet analysts to content creators. The four distinct options include:
- WUXGA (1920 x 1200) Non-Touch: 400 nits, 45% NTSC, Anti-Glare. Perfect for standard office work and extended battery life.
- WUXGA (1920 x 1200) Non-Touch: 500 nits, 100% sRGB, Anti-Glare. A brighter option for users who value color accuracy in a matte finish.
- WQXGA (2560 x 1600) Touchscreen: 400 nits, 100% sRGB, Anti-Glare. Great for touch-centric workflows without the glare.
- WQXGA (2560 x 1600) Tandem OLED Touchscreen: 400 nits, 100% DCI-P3, Corning Gorilla Glass. The crown jewel of the lineup, offering deep blacks and vivid colors with added durability.
Notably, despite the high-end screen options, Dell has noted that none of the displays come with pen support, suggesting the device is optimized strictly for traditional laptop interaction or touch input rather than stylus-based creativity.
Compact Chassis and Battery Life
Despite packing high-performance internals, the Dell Pro 14 Premium maintains a travel-friendly profile. The chassis measures a compact 311.2 x 21.67 x 19.85 mm and starts at a lightweight 1.15 kg.
Dell will offer the laptop with two battery capacities: a 40 Wh option for the weight-conscious, and a 60 Wh option for those who need all-day endurance. Given the efficiency improvements expected from the Panther Lake platform, the larger battery variant is likely to deliver impressive longevity.
Availability and Pricing
For professionals eager to get their hands on this new hardware, the wait is almost over. Dell has confirmed that the Pro 14 Premium (PA14260) will be available starting March 31 in the US.
Currently, the company has not confirmed official pricing for any markets. However, given the premium specifications—including the vPro options, Tandem OLED screen, and Panther Lake processors—it is expected to be positioned as a high-end enterprise solution, likely starting above the price point of the previous generation.
Stay tuned for hands-on reviews and final pricing details as the March 31 launch date approaches.
