Just when you thought the PC industry couldn’t get any more interesting, a fresh wave of retailer leaks out of Eastern Europe has revealed something rather unexpected: Lenovo is preparing a 15.3-inch Yoga Pro 7 powered by an Nvidia-built ARM processor, co-developed with MediaTek. And the pricing? Let’s just say this isn’t your average ultraportable.

If you’ve been following the Computex 2026 buzz, you’ll know that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has promised a “new era for PCs” during his keynote on June 1. But thanks to these early listings, we’re already getting a sneak peek at the first wave of hardware – and it’s shaping up to be a serious shake-up for the Windows laptop market.

Nvidia N1X and N1: What the leaked specs tell us

The leaked listings, originally spotted by German tech site WinFuture, describe a 15.3-inch Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 workstation with some genuinely premium specs. The display is a WQXGA (2560×1600) OLED touchscreen running at 165Hz – a rare combination of high resolution, vivid colours, and buttery-smooth refresh rates. Under the hood, configurations top out at 64GB of RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD, running Windows 11 Home.

But the real story is the silicon. The listings name two distinct APUs: an Nvidia N1X 675 and an Nvidia N1X 650. A third, non-“X” variant simply called Nvidia N1 appears in a separate listing, suggesting at least three SKUs are on the way.

According to earlier leaks (which you can catch up on here), the N1X family is no joke: 20 ARM v9.2 cores paired with a Blackwell GPU featuring 6,144 CUDA cores and 48 Streaming Multiprocessors, all built on TSMC’s 3nm process. That’s desktop-class firepower in a thin-and-light chassis.

Eye-watering prices for early ARM workstations

Here’s where things get real. The top-tier Yoga Pro 7 with the Nvidia N1X 675, 64GB RAM, and 1TB SSD is listed at the equivalent of €4,049 (roughly $4,350 USD). A slightly more “affordable” version with the N1X 650 APU and 32GB RAM comes in at €3,199 (~$3,440).

For context, that’s well into MacBook Pro and high-end mobile workstation territory. It’s also significantly more expensive than current Intel and AMD-based Yoga Pro 7 models. So what gives? Early ARM adoption, cutting-edge 3nm yields, and the inclusion of Nvidia’s full-fat Blackwell graphics all play a part – but it’s also clear that Lenovo is positioning these machines as premium creator and AI workstations, not mainstream consumer laptops.

We don’t yet have pricing for the non-X Nvidia N1 variant, but it will likely sit below €3,000. That could be the “entry-level” gateway into Nvidia’s ARM ecosystem.

Why this matters: The Nvidia-ARM-MediaTek trifecta

For years, whispers of an Nvidia-branded consumer ARM chip have circulated. Now it’s finally happening – and not alone. MediaTek, TSMC, and Microsoft are all in the boat. The chip is reportedly a joint design between Nvidia and MediaTek, with manufacturing handled by TSMC. And Microsoft’s involvement suggests deep Windows-on-ARM optimization, possibly including exclusive AI features or scheduler improvements.

In fact, Microsoft’s Surface division is widely expected to unveil its own Nvidia N1X-based device at Computex – according to another leak we covered here. That would mark the biggest shake-up for Surface since the transition to ARM with the SQ series, but this time with Nvidia’s GPU muscle behind it.

What about Intel and AMD?

Make no mistake: this isn’t just another laptop launch. This is a direct challenge to x86 dominance. Nvidia’s Jensen Huang has been teasing “AI-native PCs” for over a year, and the N1X appears to be the first silicon designed from the ground up for local LLM inference, generative AI workloads, and real-time ray tracing – all at laptop power budgets.

That said, Intel’s Lunar Lake and AMD’s Strix Point aren’t going anywhere. But the sheer compute density of a 20-core ARM v9.2 CPU paired with 6,144 CUDA cores on a single die is something neither x86 incumbent can currently match in the same thermal envelope.

What to expect at Computex 2026

Jensen Huang takes the stage at 4 AM PT on June 1 (yes, early morning for some, but that’s Computex for you). Alongside the inevitable AI buzzwords, we expect official announcements of:

  • The Nvidia N1 and N1X APU families
  • Reference designs from Lenovo, Asus, and likely MSI
  • Microsoft demoing Windows 11 optimisations for N1X
  • Real-world performance numbers (watch for battery life claims)

The Yoga Pro 7 leak suggests Lenovo won’t be alone. Asus is rumoured to have multiple N1X-based devices in the pipeline, possibly under its ProArt or ROG Flow lines.

Should you wait for Nvidia ARM laptops?

If you’re a creative professional, AI developer, or just someone who wants the absolute best performance-per-watt, waiting until after Computex makes sense. The first wave of N1X laptops is expected to ship in late Q3 or Q4 2026 – possibly alongside Windows 11’s “Hudson Valley” feature update, which is rumoured to include deep ARM optimisations.

But be prepared to pay a premium. €4,000+ for a Yoga Pro 7 is uncharted territory. Early adopters will fund the R&D, and prices should normalise by 2027 as volume ramps up.

One thing’s for certain: the PC industry is about to get a lot more interesting. Nvidia, MediaTek, and Lenovo are betting big on ARM. And if these leaks are accurate, their opening salvo is aimed squarely at the high end.
