The 16-inch powerhouse, first teased back at CES 2026 in January, replaces the outgoing IdeaPad Pro 5i 16IAH10 – and while it brings plenty of upgrades, European buyers are facing some curious limitations compared to their US counterparts.
Lenovo initially promised a global rollout starting in April, but keen-eyed shoppers spotted the laptop appearing in select markets as early as March. Core Ultra 7 Only – No Core Ultra 9 in Europe

This 16-core chip packs a 4-core Xe3 integrated GPU from Intel’s Panther Lake family – no slouch by any means. But across the pond, US buyers can also opt for the more muscular Core Ultra 9 386H, which delivers higher clock speeds and better multi-threaded performance.
For creative professionals and power users in Europe, that’s a disappointing omission. Whether Lenovo will expand options later remains unclear, but for now, the Core Ultra 7 is your only ticket.
Same RAM, Storage, and Battery – But a Generous Display

Graphics are handled by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 laptop GPU with a generous 105 W TGP, meaning you’ll get near-desktop performance in a portable chassis. Whether you’re editing 4K video, running CAD software, or gaming at 1440p, this GPU has you covered.
The real showstopper, though, is the display. Lenovo has equipped the IdeaPad Pro 5i 16IPH11 with a stunning 16-inch 1800p OLED panel featuring 120 Hz variable refresh rate (VRR). Brightness hits 500 nits in SDR and an eye-searing 1,100 nits in HDR – perfect for HDR content creation and outdoor use. OLED’s infinite contrast and color accuracy make this one of the best screens in its class.
Connectivity Choices: Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7
European buyers get a choice between two wireless configurations:

That’s a hefty premium over the previous generation – and notably higher than US pricing for the Core Ultra 9 version.

Is It Worth the Premium?
For creative pros, data scientists, and on-the-go gamers, the IdeaPad Pro 5i 16IPH11 delivers a compelling package: a blazing-fast OLED display, powerful RTX 5050 graphics, and ample RAM and storage. The lack of a Core Ultra 9 option in Europe stings, but the Core Ultra 7 356H is still a capable performer.
That said, the £2,500+ price tag puts it in direct competition with Apple’s MacBook Pro 16 and Dell’s XPS 16. Lenovo’s edge is the OLED screen and higher GPU TGP. If you value absolute performance and display quality, this is a strong contender.
