Dell has been busy refining its professional laptop portfolio, and the latest addition to the Pro 3 Series is finally here. After teasing the lineup earlier this year, the Texas-based tech giant has now rounded off the series with a brand-new 14-inch model that swaps Intel silicon for something much spicier. Meet the Dell Pro 3 Series 14 (P314265) – a compact workhorse that leans heavily on AMD’s Ryzen AI 400 platform.
If you’ve been following Dell’s 2026 releases, you’ll recall that the company kicked off the Pro series back in May with an Intel-powered alternative, alongside several other Wildcat Lake-based Pro laptops. That’s a significant leap, especially for professionals who rely on multitasking, data crunching, or light content creation. The AI capabilities baked into these chips also promise smarter background task management and improved power efficiency.
Memory configurations are equally generous. The P314265 supports 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of DDR5-5600 RAM running in dual-channel mode. That’s more than enough for heavy spreadsheet work, virtual machines, or running local AI models. Storage options include both PCIe Gen 4 and PCIe Gen 5 SSDs, so speed demons can opt for the latest Gen 5 drives. Wireless connectivity is future-proofed too, with choices between Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 modems.
Battery Life and Display: Trade-offs to Consider
Dell doesn’t skimp on battery choices either. You can equip the Pro 3 Series 14 with 45 Wh, 57 Wh, or 70 Wh batteries, and there’s even a “Long Life Cycle” option for businesses that want extended durability. The largest battery should easily get you through a full workday, though real-world tests will confirm.
The display side is where things get a little more nuanced. Currently, the P314265 is only available with 1200p IPS panels – no OLED or 4K options yet. And none of them include a touchscreen layer. You have four display choices, but only one stands out: a 500-nit panel with a 120Hz variable refresh rate. The other three options max out at 400 nits and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. If you value smooth scrolling and outdoor visibility, the premium display is an obvious upgrade.
Pricing and Availability (or Lack Thereof)
Here’s where the story gets a bit fragmented depending on where you live. In the UK, the Dell Pro 3 Series 14 starts at £1,472 before you dive into the configurator. In the Eurozone, prices range from €1,654 to €1,728. Australian customers have to go old-school – Dell is asking them to call to place an order. Meanwhile, North America is still waiting. The P314265 is currently unavailable in the US and Canada, but Dell suggests pricing would start at $1,799 in the US and CAD 2,299 in Canada once it arrives.

The lack of a touchscreen and OLED options might disappoint creative types, but for business analysts, software engineers, and IT managers, the raw performance and configurable battery will be the main draw.
If you’re in North America, patience is key – Dell hasn’t given a firm release date yet. But for those in the UK and Europe, the configurator is live and ready. Just be prepared to spend over £1,400 for the base model. Given the Ryzen AI 400 performance, it might just be worth every penny.
