Asus ExpertBook P3 G2 gets new Intel powered 14 and 16 inch models

Asus has officially announced the expansion of its business laptop lineup with the new ExpertBook P3 G2, now available in both 14-inch and 16-inch variants. This latest release introduces Intel processor options to the series, complementing the AMD-powered models that launched earlier in January 2026.

The move gives professionals more flexibility when choosing a workhorse laptop, as the Intel-equipped P3 G2 joins the recently announced Intel-powered ExpertBook B3 G2. While both models share screen size options, the P3 G2 offers distinct hardware configurations tailored for business users who demand performance and reliability.

Performance and Hardware Specifications

Under the hood, the ExpertBook P3 G2 can be configured with up to an Intel Core 7 Series 3 processor. While Asus has not yet disclosed the specific processor model details, early indications suggest these chips are designed to handle intensive multitasking and demanding applications with ease. The laptops support high-speed DDR5 memory and PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, ensuring fast boot times and snappy performance. Asus has also implemented a thermal design intended to maintain stable performance during long workloads, making these laptops suitable for extended productivity sessions.

For memory and storage, the P3 G2 comes equipped with two SO-DIMM slots that support up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM—a significant advantage for professionals running virtual machines or large datasets. Storage options include an M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slot and a secondary M.2 2230 slot. Asus offers up to 1 TB of storage in the second slot, which users can upgrade to up to 2 TB, providing ample space for local files and applications.

Design and Durability

Both the 14-inch P3406CMA and 16-inch P3606CMA models share a similar sleek design, finished in a professional Misty Grey color. Asus says both laptops meet MIL-STD-810H durability standards, ensuring they can withstand the rigors of daily commutes and field work. The keyboard features 1.5 mm of key travel for a comfortable typing experience, while the touchpad has been enlarged compared to previous designs, improving usability for navigation and gestures.

Security and Software

Security remains a top priority for the ExpertBook line. Asus ExpertGuardian includes a NIST SP 800-155-compliant BIOS, TPM 2.0, and five years of Asus BIOS and driver updates to protect against evolving threats. A nano Kensington lock slot provides physical security, and a one-year McAfee+ Premium subscription is also included for added peace of mind.

For readers interested in the broader ExpertBook family, we covered the B3 G2 in detail earlier this year. For more on the B3 G2’s Intel configuration, you can check out our previous coverage here and also see how it compares in this related analysis.

Connectivity and Productivity

The P3 G2 supports multiple high-resolution external displays, making it ideal for professionals who rely on multi-monitor setups. Dedicated shortcut keys for common tasks—such as video conferencing—further enhance productivity, allowing users to quickly mute, share screens, or adjust settings without navigating through menus.

Battery Life and Charging

Asus says the new models support long battery life and fast charging, though specific battery capacities or claimed runtimes for the Intel configurations have not been provided. For context, our review of the AMD-powered ExpertBook PM5 G2 earlier this year highlighted battery life as one of its strengths, along with strong CPU performance and excellent maintenance options, while the display and webcam left room for improvement. You can read our full review of the AMD version here.

Price and Availability

Currently, there is no information regarding pricing or availability for the new ExpertBook P3 G2 series. Asus notes that specifications and availability may vary by region, so prospective buyers should stay tuned for local announcements. With the combination of Intel performance, durable design, and enterprise-grade security, the P3 G2 is poised to be a strong contender in the business laptop market as more details become available.
