Lenovo laptops have a habit of seeing massive price drops a few months after launch. We have seen this time and again, and the latest Lenovo Yoga 7a 2-in-1 (2026) price drop further confirms it. We don't mind this at all, as this means that users can get the latest Lenovo laptops for a lot less if they wait out the first few months.
The Lenovo Yoga 7a 14 Gen 11 launched back at CES 2026. The laptop can now be found at Best Buy for $749 with a Ryzen AI 5 430 APU, 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory, 512 GB of storage, and a touch-sensitive 1200p 14-inch OLED display. All of this is housed in a stylish metal chassis with a 360-degree hinge, a backlit keyboard, and a 70 Wh battery.
There is also a decent port selection with:
- Two Type-C ports with DisplayPort and Power Delivery
- One Type-A port
- An HDMI out
- A 3.5 mm audio jack
Lenovo Yoga 7a 14 Gen 11 mostly gets it right, with a few missteps
We extensively reviewed the Lenovo Yoga 7a 2-in-1 (2026) in June. The laptop earned a good rating of 82 due to its build quality, battery life, good sound, good inputs, and stylish design.
For instance, the 1200p OLED display features impressive color rendition with incredible contrast and full DCI-P3 coverage. It is also comfortably bright at just under 400 nits and has good viewing angles. However, the touch-sensitive panel is quite reflective, making it difficult to see outdoors. So, a matte screen protector will go a long way in fixing the issue (get one on Amazon).
Another one of our nitpicks was the Ryzen AI 400 Gorgon Point APUs. Our review model was rocking the 6-core Ryzen AI 5 435, while the Yoga 7a 14AGP11 model on sale is powered by the 4-core Ryzen AI 5 430. Both CPUs offer entry-level to lower mid-range performance. So, the Lenovo Yoga 7a on sale should only be considered if your intended use revolves around lighter tasks like office work, web browsing, document editing, and so on.
If you want to do some gaming, look elsewhere.
However, a positive consequence of these relatively tame CPUs is the battery life. The 70 Wh battery inside the Lenovo Yoga 7a Gen 11 lasted for a good 14.5 hours in our WLAN test.
