The company has once again leaned into its quirky side with the launch of a brand-new gaming laptop under its Colorfire Meow sub-brand. The new machine, officially dubbed the Meow X16 Pro, is here to prove that gaming rigs don’t have to look like military hardware; they can look like a beloved pet.
While the guts of the machine are serious business, the exterior is a bold statement in "Orange Shadow White." Colorful dropped the laptop in China on September 1, and it has quickly become a talking point for gamers who prefer their tech with a side of personality.
A Purr-fectly Balanced Spec Sheet
Don’t let the whimsical design fool you; the Meow X16 Pro isn’t just a pretty face. However, it isn’t trying to break benchmark records either. It sits firmly in the "upper mid-range" category of the 2026 gaming laptop market, striking a balance between performance and thermal manageability.
Under the hood, users will find an AMD Ryzen 7 8745HX processor. This is a Zen 4-based chip that offers plenty of grunt for gaming and multitasking, even if it isn't the absolute newest architecture on the block. Pairing with the CPU is the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU running at a rated 115 Watts. On the memory front, the laptop ships with 16 GB of dual-channel DDR5-5200 memory and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Availability and Pricing
For now, the Colorfire Meow X16 Pro is a China-exclusive launch. The laptop went on sale on September 1 for CNY 10,499, which is approximately $1,565 USD.
Colorful has not announced any plans for an international release at this stage, leaving Western fans of feline-focused tech to wait and hope. Given the positive reception to unique designs in the West, however, there is always a chance this orange tabby could find its way to global shelves.
