Lenovo has quietly expanded its European laptop lineup with a new 14-inch model: the IdeaPad Slim 5 14ARP10. The laptop has started selling in Austria and Germany, although it is not yet available in other markets. Lenovo has already listed the model in multiple regions, but its PSREF product page suggests that a US release is not planned.
Availability: Germany and Austria First
For now, buyers in Germany and Austria can configure the IdeaPad Slim 5 14ARP10 directly from Lenovo’s online stores. The Lenovo Germany listing and the Lenovo Austria listing both show the 14-inch AMD-powered machine, while the PSREF specification page confirms that the 14-inch model is not expected to receive a US release. That makes this a notably Europe-focused addition to Lenovo’s IdeaPad Slim 5 family.
A 400-Nit OLED Panel With 16:10 Aspect Ratio
The headline feature is the display. The IdeaPad Slim 5 14ARP10 uses a 14-inch OLED panel with a 1,920 x 1,200-pixel resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is rated for 400 nits of brightness, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space, and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. According to Lenovo’s PSREF listings, this is the brightest and most vibrant of the three displays offered for this model.
The main compromise is refresh rate: the OLED panel runs at 60 Hz. That is fine for everyday productivity, streaming, and photo editing, but it will not satisfy gamers looking for a high-refresh-rate screen. Still, for a slim 14-inch laptop, the combination of OLED contrast, wide colour coverage, and a taller 16:10 workspace is likely to appeal to students, office workers, and media consumers.
Older AMD Hardware, But Upgradability Remains
Under the hood, Lenovo equips the IdeaPad Slim 5 14ARP10 with the AMD Ryzen 5 7533HS. This chip comes from AMD’s older Rembrandt Refresh generation and pairs with Radeon 660M integrated graphics. As a result, the 14-inch laptop will fall short of the performance offered by the IdeaPad Slim 5 16AKP10 we reviewed in November 2025, which is currently listed at $999 on Amazon.
That said, the 14ARP10 has one clear advantage: upgradeability. Lenovo includes both M.2 2242 and M.2 2280 storage slots, plus dual SODIMM slots that support up to 32 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM. Many modern thin-and-light laptops solder memory and offer limited storage expansion, so the presence of dual SO-DIMM slots is a welcome detail for buyers who like to upgrade later.
Price, Battery Life, and Connectivity
In the Eurozone, Lenovo charges €999 including taxes for the IdeaPad Slim 5 14ARP10, which works out to roughly $1,160. That price includes a Wi-Fi 7-capable wireless module and a 60 Wh battery. Lenovo claims the battery can last over 18 hours during 1080p local video playback at 150 nits, a figure that should be treated as a best-case scenario but still suggests strong endurance for light use.
The laptop weighs 1.39 kg and measures 313.4 x 222 x 16.9 mm, making it reasonably portable for a 14-inch machine. Buyers who want the full configuration details, port selection, and regional pricing should check Lenovo’s official website and the PSREF listing before ordering.
Who Is It For?
The IdeaPad Slim 5 14ARP10 is not a performance champion. Its Ryzen 5 7533HS and Radeon 660M graphics are a generation behind newer AMD options, and the 60 Hz OLED screen limits its appeal for fast-paced gaming. But for users in Germany and Austria who want a slim laptop with a vibrant OLED display, generous upgrade options, Wi-Fi 7, and long battery life, it could be a solid everyday machine. The lack of a US release means American buyers will likely have to look elsewhere—or import one—if this particular 14-inch IdeaPad catches their eye.
