Lenovo’s Googlebook 15 Hits US Shelves at a Surprising Discount – Here’s Everything You Need to Know

In a move that’s turning heads across the tech world, Lenovo has officially launched its first Googlebook laptops, becoming one of the first manufacturers to embrace Google’s new hardware ecosystem. All models come with an impressive 10-year update guarantee, Google Gemini Intelligence, and seamless Android interoperability. While early reports suggested pricing would start at $899, that figure actually applies to Acer’s Googlebook 14 – not Lenovo’s offering.

But here’s where things get interesting. The Lenovo Googlebook 15 has landed in the US at a price point that undercuts Lenovo’s own launch announcement. Originally billed at $1,299, the 15.3-inch laptop is now available starting at just $1,149 in the States, or CAD 1,649 north of the border. Even better? That lower price tag includes 512 GB of storage – double what Lenovo initially indicated would be standard in North America.

European buyers aren’t left out either, though the value proposition looks a little different across the pond. In the Eurozone, the Googlebook 15 is priced between €1,230 and €1,399 with identical specs, except storage drops to 256 GB instead of 512 GB. UK customers can snag the same 15.3-inch machine for £1,050 including taxes. Unfortunately, Lenovo hasn’t yet listed its debut Googlebook on regional sites across Oceania, East Asia, Southeast Asia, or the Middle East – so those markets will have to wait.

Under the hood, every configuration ships with Intel’s Core Ultra 5 325 processor – an 8-core chip from the Panther Lake family that also packs a 4 Xe3 core iGPU. That’s paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM and a 70 Wh battery supporting 65 W charging. Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7, all wrapped in a chassis that measures just 15.95 mm thick and weighs a travel-friendly 1.28 kg.

Lenovo also includes a haptic touchpad.

The display is where the Googlebook 15 really shines. Every unit features a 2.8K OLED panel (2,880 x 1,800) with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. While it peaks at 500 nits in SDR mode, HDR content pushes brightness up to an impressive 1,100 nits. If that sounds familiar, it’s because this is essentially the same OLED panel Lenovo uses in its latest Yoga Pro 7i – a display that impressed us during our recent review (currently $2,809 on Amazon). For those keeping score, that’s a lot of screen quality for a fraction of the price.

As for availability, Lenovo estimates orders will begin shipping on October 4 across North America. European customers will need to exercise a bit more patience, as order fulfillment won’t start until the end of October.
