| Microsoft Surface EP2-59499 Laptop (2026) |
The 8th edition Surface Laptop brings Snapdragon X2 Elite power, a gorgeous 120Hz touchscreen, and all-day battery life in a sleek, portable package.
If you’ve been waiting for a traditional laptop that doesn’t compromise on performance or portability, Microsoft’s latest Surface EP2-59499 Laptop might be exactly what you need. The 2026 model—now in its 8th edition—delivers a premium clamshell experience built for work, school, coding, video editing, graphic design, and everything in between.
Unlike the Surface Pro, which flips and detaches into a tablet, this is a proper laptop. And that’s a good thing for anyone who wants a stable, reliable machine that just gets things done. Under the hood, you’ll find a 12-core Snapdragon X2 Elite processor paired with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. That’s a combination ready for serious multitasking—think video calls, 20+ browser tabs, school assignments, work projects, and AI tools all running at once without a hint of slowdown.

AI That Actually Works for You
This is a Copilot+ PC, and that means AI isn’t just a buzzword here. With a dedicated 80 TOPS NPU (Neural Processing Unit), the Surface Laptop handles on-device AI tasks smoothly. Whether you’re prompting, creating, or automating, the Snapdragon X2 Elite chip helps you work smarter and faster. Windows 11 is built to take full advantage of this hardware, making it one of the most future-proof laptops you can buy right now.
A 13.8-Inch Touchscreen You’ll Actually Want to Use
The PixelSense touchscreen isn’t just sharp—it’s smooth. With a 120Hz refresh rate, scrolling feels fluid, colors pop, and details look crisp. Whether you’re streaming your favorite show, editing photos, or tapping through daily tasks, the display keeps up without any lag. Tap, scroll, or pinch to zoom—whatever feels natural.
Battery Life That Lets You Leave the Charger at Home
Microsoft rates the 13.8-inch model for up to 20 hours of video playback on a single charge. That means you can work from a coffee shop all afternoon, take it to class or the office, or binge an entire season on a long flight without scrambling for an outlet. At just 3 lbs (1.36 kg), it’s light enough to forget it’s even in your bag.
Ports, Connectivity, and Options
You get two USB-C / USB4 ports for fast charging, large file transfers, or connecting up to three 4K monitors when you want a full desktop setup. Wi-Fi 7 keeps you online with faster speeds and better reliability. The 1080p camera and Windows Hello support make video calls and logins quick and secure, while Dolby Atmos audio rounds out the multimedia experience.
Want more screen real estate? The 15-inch model is available for movies, design work, or big spreadsheets. And if style matters, you can choose from four colors: sleek Black, classic Platinum, warm Dune, or the bold new Jade. The anodized aluminum chassis feels as premium as it looks.
Complete Your Setup
Microsoft 365 Personal is sold separately and includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Copilot features, 1TB of OneDrive storage, and built-in Microsoft Defender security. It’s a natural companion to a laptop built for AI productivity.
