| HP's Nvidia RTX Spark laptops will start at $2,999.99 with an 18-core CPU and 5120-core GPU. |
HP’s first Nvidia RTX Spark laptops are getting closer to launch, and if a new retail listing is anything to go by, they won’t be cheap. The company unveiled the OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14 at IFA 2026, but at the time it kept pricing and exact release dates under wraps. Now, a brief appearance on HP’s US online store has revealed starting prices that are significantly higher than earlier rumors suggested.
According to the listings, the 14-inch HP OmniBook X will start at $2,999.99, while the 16-inch HP OmniBook Ultra will start at $3,199.99. Both entry configurations include the lower-end RTX Spark chip, 32GB of LPDDR5x-9400 unified memory, and a 1TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD. That’s a notable jump from early expectations, which pointed to RTX Spark laptops starting at $1,799 with the lower-end chip and around $2,899 with the higher-end version. You can read that earlier RTX Spark pricing report here. HP’s current laptop lineup, including these new models when they go live, can be browsed through this HP US store link.

Two RTX Spark tiers, up to 128GB of memory
HP is expected to offer both OmniBook models with two RTX Spark configurations. The lower-end version has a 5,120-core GPU and an 18-core CPU, while the full-fat variant steps up to a 6,144-core GPU and a 20-core CPU. The listings also indicated that both laptops can be configured with the higher-end RTX Spark chip and up to 128GB of unified memory.
Preconfigured models with the 6,144-core GPU and 20-core CPU were listed at $4,499.99 for the OmniBook X 14 and $4,999.99 for the OmniBook Ultra 16. Those configurations include 64GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. If those prices hold, HP’s RTX Spark lineup will sit at the very top of the Windows-on-ARM market. When will RTX Spark laptops launch?
HP still hasn’t confirmed when the RTX Spark-powered OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14 will go on sale. However, Microsoft is expected to launch a new Surface laptop with Nvidia RTX Spark on October 7. That would put Microsoft a day ahead of MSI and Asus, both of which are expected to open orders for their own RTX Spark models on October 8 in China. You can find more details about that in this Microsoft October 7 Surface event preview.
RTX Spark vs Snapdragon X2 Elite
If the leaked HP pricing is accurate, RTX Spark will be the most expensive Windows-on-ARM platform yet. By comparison, Snapdragon-powered laptops can be had for $1,999.99 with the powerful Snapdragon X2 Elite chip and 32GB of RAM, or as low as $599.99. That lower price point includes HP’s own Snapdragon X-powered OmniBook 3, which is currently listed at $599.99 on Amazon. You can check that Amazon listing here. For shoppers who want a premium Snapdragon alternative, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x with Snapdragon X2 Elite is another model worth comparing.
What to expect next
HP’s RTX Spark OmniBooks are shaping up to be high-performance machines for AI workloads, content creation, and premium productivity. But with starting prices near $3,000 and top configurations approaching $5,000, they’re clearly aimed at buyers who need maximum ARM performance and are willing to pay for it. Until HP officially confirms pricing and availability, treat these listings as a strong indication of where the market is heading — not a final launch announcement.
