By achieving this speed, Samsung is directly challenging the territory that LCD screens have dominated for years. The 300Hz laptop panel wasn't the only hardware that Samsung brought to Busan. The company also flexed its muscles in the desktop monitor space, showcasing two new QD-OLED monitor panels that push the envelope for performance. The lineup includes a 31.5-inch panel with a 4K resolution and a 360Hz refresh rate—which Samsung notes is a first for monitor panels of this size and pixel density—alongside a 34-inch ultrawide panel featuring a 21:9 aspect ratio that also runs at a blistering 360Hz.
Samsung also showed two QD-OLED monitor panels at 360Hz: a 31.5-inch 4K panel and a 34-inch 21:9 ultrawide panel.
Beyond the practical gaming hardware, Samsung’s booth was also a showcase for the future. The company featured several futuristic display concepts that hint at where the technology is headed over the next decade. Among the prototypes shown on the floor were a 7.6-inch foldable OLED featuring a wide-viewing design, a 20-inch stretchable panel, an eye-tracking humanoid display concept, a necklace-style AI OLED pendant, and an OLED turntable.
