It has been a few months since Acer officially launched the new generation of the Swift Go 16 to the global market. When the lightweight 16-inch laptop was first announced, the company focused heavily on its ability to be configured with up to the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H. While that processor is certainly an efficiency champion, featuring a 16-core CPU architecture, its integrated graphics solution—the 4-core Xe3 iGPU—left hardcore users wanting a bit more graphical grunt from their ultrabooks.
However, it appears Acer has been silently revising its lineup behind the scenes, and the latest SKUs hitting shelves in certain regions represent a massive leap forward for the series.
The "Arc" of the Story
While the global launch kicked off with configurations centered around Intel’s standard Core Ultra H-series chips, we have now spotted Acer selling the latest Swift Go 16 models equipped with processors backed by the more powerful Arc B390 architecture.
For context, we previously reviewed the closely related Acer Swift 16 earlier this year, which featured the Arc B390 alongside a Core Ultra X7 358H (currently priced at $1,269 on Amazon). According to the benchmarks gathered during that review, the architecture behind these specific chips provides a monumental upgrade in visual performance. In fact, thanks to the Arc B390 iGPU, the newer configurations of the Swift Go 16 should deliver roughly twice the GPU performance compared to the initially advertised Core Ultra 9 386H variants. Conversely, when it comes to raw CPU performance, users can expect the numbers to remain broadly unchanged from the Core Ultra 9 386H, as the core counts and architectures share significant DNA.

Regional Availability and Pricing
Currently, these upgraded Arc B390-backed SKUs appear to be rolling out in select Asian markets first. At the time of writing, a Core Ultra X7 358H-powered Swift Go 16 starts at SGD 2,499 (~$1,972) in Singapore. This entry-level configuration for the new architecture includes 16 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD, and a 1200p OLED display outputting at a smooth 60 Hz.
For users who prioritize a sharper display and more memory, Acer is also offering the Core Ultra X7 358H configuration with a superior 1800p OLED panel. This upgraded screen not only boosts the resolution but also jumps to a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 500 nits. Additionally, this SKU doubles the memory to 32 GB of RAM.
Unfortunately, these hardware upgrades do not come cheap. Upgrading to the high-resolution display and 32 GB of RAM increases the Swift Go's price by over 30%, bringing the total to SGD 3,299 (~$2,605) in Singapore, or HKD 15,398 in Hong Kong. If you are looking for maximum performance, Acer has also introduced a Core Ultra X9 388H variant, which costs SGD 3,599 (~$2,840) while retaining the same premium display and memory specifications as the more expensive Core Ultra X7 358H SKU.
A Word of Caution for US Buyers
If you are hoping to find this specific hardware configuration in the West, your options are currently limited. We have only found the Arc B390-powered SKUs listed in Hong Kong and Singapore thus far.
US-based consumers should also be wary of potential listing errors. While there appears to be an active product page on Best Buy that might be interpreted as this new model, it is actually the standard Acer Swift 16 that has been mislabelled as a Swift Go 16. At this stage, it remains unclear whether Acer plans to offer the Swift Go 16 with the Core Ultra X7 358H or Core Ultra X9 388H in Europe or North America. For now, users in Singapore and Hong Kong are getting a sneak peek at what could be the future of Acer’s premium thin-and-light lineup—offering a level of iGPU performance that finally makes integrated graphics a viable option for entry-level gaming and content creation on the go.
