| The Lenovo Pro 9n starts at $2,999.99 with the 18-core RTX Spark and 32GB RAM. |
Lenovo has officially unveiled the Pro 9n at IFA 2026, and it’s one of the most interesting high-performance laptops of the show. The new machine is powered by Nvidia’s RTX Spark platform, and it’s already available to preorder ahead of an October 16 shipping date.
This is not just another slim creator laptop. Lenovo is positioning the Pro 9n as a portable workstation for AI development, content creation, and gaming, with enough unified memory and AI throughput to handle local inference and agent-based workloads. In other words, it’s aiming at people who want desktop-class capability without carrying a desktop.
Pricing and configurations
Pricing starts at $2,999.99 for the base configuration. That model includes the lower-end RTX Spark N1X with an 18-core Grace CPU and a 5120-core Blackwell RTX GPU, paired with 32 GB of unified memory and 512 GB of storage.
That puts the entry Pro 9n around **$400 above the Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra**, which starts at $2,599. However, Lenovo does include more RAM as standard — the Surface Laptop Ultra comes with 24 GB of base memory, while Lenovo starts at 32 GB.
Buyers who need more headroom can configure the Pro 9n with the full-fat 20-core RTX Spark N1X, a 6144-core GPU, 128 GB of RAM, and up to 2 TB of storage for $6,099.99.
For comparison, a 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 Max chip, 128 GB of RAM, and 2 TB of storage costs $6,699. That makes the Lenovo around **$600 cheaper** with the same memory and storage capacities — a notable difference for professionals comparing high-end portable workstations.
If you already know you want one, you can preorder the Pro 9n directly from Lenovo now, with shipping scheduled for October 16.
Display, design, and ports
The Lenovo Pro 9n features a 15.3-inch OLED display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and 1,100 nits of peak brightness. It covers 100% of the P3 color gamut and supports VRR up to 165Hz, which should make it as comfortable for creative work as it is for gaming.
Despite the hardware inside, Lenovo says the machine weighs 3.64 pounds and comes with a 92.5 Wh battery. That’s reasonably portable for a laptop in this class, though real-world battery life will depend heavily on how much you lean on the RTX Spark GPU.
Port selection looks strong, too. The Pro 9n includes:
- Two USB4 ports
- USB-A
- HDMI 2.1
- Headphone jack
- SD card reader
That’s a practical mix for creators and developers who don’t want to carry a dock everywhere.
Built for AI, creation, and gaming
As previously covered, Lenovo is positioning the Pro 9n for demanding workloads across AI development, content creation, and gaming. With up to 128 GB of unified memory and 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance, the laptop is designed to handle local AI inference, run AI agents, and more in a slim machine that you can carry every day.
That combination is important. Many AI-heavy laptops force users to choose between memory capacity, GPU performance, and portability. Lenovo is trying to deliver all three in the Pro 9n, while also undercutting some competing high-memory configurations on price.
The RTX Spark platform is the centerpiece here. Nvidia’s hardware gives the Pro 9n a Blackwell RTX GPU paired with a Grace CPU, and Lenovo is offering two tiers of that setup. The base model should appeal to developers and creators who need solid AI acceleration and 32 GB of unified memory, while the top configuration is aimed at users running larger local models, heavy 3D workloads, or high-end gaming.
Availability
The Lenovo Pro 9n is available to preorder now through Lenovo, with shipping set for October 16. The base configuration starts at $2,999.99**, while the maxed-out version reaches **$6,099.99.

With its OLED display, RTX Spark hardware, up to 128 GB of unified memory, and aggressive pricing against both the Surface Laptop Ultra and high-end MacBook Pro configurations, the Lenovo Pro 9n could be one of the most closely watched premium laptops of late 2026.
